Strategy

Our business strategy consists of the following key elements:

Combine global reach with local market knowledge

We aim to use the global reach of our operations in two ways: to diversify, and thus optimise, our risk profile, while also increasing our know-how and experience in global travel retail operations.

Focus on profitable growth

We continuously improve and expand our existing shops to capture their full potential. We aim to further strengthen our presence in attractive markets around the globe. The Mediterranean Basin, Latin America & Caribbean and the Moscow-Beijing axis including China and India represent our main focus. When assessing new opportunities, we strictly apply our financially disciplined approach.

Operate as a true retailer focused on customer needs

We operate a true retail business model, by managing all operations directly and staffing all of our shops with our own employees. This gives us direct and in-depth understanding of our customers’ behaviour and preferences.

Be the preferred partner for long-term business relationships

We want to structure the relationships with facility owners as mutually beneficial, long-term partnerships. Our goal is to offer airport authorities or landlords comprehensive packages, including alternative business plans that allow the landlords and us to maximize revenues.

Enhance central functions to improve profitability

We want to capitalize on different synergies created by standardization of processes among the operations, by centralized negotiations with suppliers and by implementing common IT platforms, logistic functions and financial controls.
